Free MP3 Ringtones!

I have the new iTunes ROKR phone and am in need of some custom ringtones. When I search in google for ringtones or free ringtones all I get is a bunch of crap sites trying to sell me something. I don't think there are many quality sites out there where you can actually get a ringtone for free.

So I'm planning on settting up a feed of ring tones that I make in Garageband and that other podcasters or musicians want to send in. I'd imagine that other phones will be able to use them as well.

Here's my first four: mp3-ringtones-01.zip that I'll be putting in the feed later on. Maybe I'll even setup a separate directory. If you have something to share let me know via mail to podcastshuffle [at] gmail [dot] com. (its gotta be podsafe though... and about 8-15 seconds long)

I think it would be great if you could supply a mini-tutorial on how to make a ringtone (i.e. what file format is needed) and how to load the ringtone, (Can they be loaded when the phone is connected to the computer via USB, or do they have to be e-mailed, or...?)

Check out Motorola's Mobile phoneTools ($29.99 or free if you can find it somewhere). It has a suite of tools for Pictures, MMS, Video, Sound (I edited several mp3's down to 10s ringtones). Also, it syncs up outlook calendar, contacts (or you can import/export csv files for contact lists). And finally - if your a mobile warrior - it turns the phone into a modem using the GPRS network (no dialup account needed).
